Sadaqa
Sadaqa
Support a cause in Senegal by giving straight to the people who need it.
sadaqa.zaleo.dev

What it does
A daara short of prayer mats, an operation at Fann hospital, a flooded family in Keur Massar: Sadaqa gathers these appeals, checks who is behind them and shows the beneficiary's Wave or Orange Money number, with their name. You pay them directly.
Who it's for
People who want to give and know where the money goes, and the associations, daaras, dahiras or individuals behind a cause.
Three things to know
- The money never goes through Sadaqa
- You pay the beneficiary's own number or account. Sadaqa takes nothing.
- Verification shown plainly
- Not verified, identity verified or organisation verified: the level is shown on every appeal, and every appeal is reviewed by moderators.
- What happens after you give
- “I gave” is a declaration; the organiser confirms receipt and posts receipts and photos of what was bought.

Your data
Giving needs no account. Organisers sign in with a Zaleo account; their ID documents are read only by moderators, then deleted once checked. Phone numbers in public text are masked, except the one that receives the gifts.
What it doesn't do
Sadaqa can't refund a gift, since it never holds it. During the testing phase some appeals are reviewed just after they go live, so check the verification level before you give. Amounts shown are declared, not verified.
