In short
- Most deletions are a button in the app itself. This page lists them, app by app.
- For anything else, email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”. We do it and confirm within 30 days.
- Connected a Facebook Page, an Instagram account or another network to Dawah or Yégle? Disconnecting it in the app revokes our access and deletes its access tokens. You can also remove Zaleo from the network’s own settings.
Delete it yourself, app by app
Zaleo account. Sign in on auth.zaleo.dev/account, open “Danger zone” and choose “Delete account”. This erases the account, its sessions, its link to Google and the list of apps you opened with it, and signs you out everywhere. For safety it asks for a sign-in less than 24 hours old. It does not erase what each app keeps on its own side: use the steps below first, or email us.
Dawah and Yégle (social publishing). In Settings, under your connected accounts, disconnect each Facebook Page, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Telegram or Bluesky account. Disconnecting revokes our access to that account and deletes its access tokens from our publishing provider. Nothing more is published or read from it afterwards. For Bluesky, also delete the app password you created for us in Bluesky (Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords). In Yégle, disconnecting Meta Ads or Google Ads removes that token and the ad-account data we imported. Your drafts, scheduled posts and statistics stay in your Dawah or Yégle account until you delete them there or ask us to delete everything.
Suuf. In Settings, “Delete all my data” erases your analyses, the reports nobody else saved (with their images), all your share links and the alerts tied to your account email.
Daara. In Settings, “Delete my donated recordings” erases the audio files and their transcriptions and withdraws your consent. Your progress is on your device; when you are signed in, the synced copy goes when you ask us by email.
Kàddu. From your dashboard you can delete one recording, all your contributions, or everything Kàddu keeps about you. Clips already published in the open dataset cannot be recalled.
Sajda, Mirath and this catalogue keep nothing about you on our servers: clear your browser’s site data to remove what they stored on your device. For Courant, Arnaque? and Ummah, what is kept is anonymous or masked (see the privacy policy); email us to remove anything tied to your account.
Ask us by email
Write to [email protected] from the email address of your Zaleo account, with the subject “Delete my data”. Say which apps it covers, or “all”. If you connected social accounts, name them (for example the Facebook Page or the Instagram handle) so we can find them.
We may ask one question to confirm it is really you. We then delete the data and confirm by email within 30 days, usually much sooner. The request costs nothing, and you do not need to give a reason.
Remove Zaleo from Facebook, Instagram and your other accounts
You can cut our access from the network’s side at any time, even without opening a Zaleo app:
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites (and Business integrations, if you connected a Page) → Zaleo Post → Remove. You can also tick the option to delete posts and activity Zaleo Post made on Facebook.
- Instagram: Settings and activity → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Zaleo Post → Remove.
- Threads: Settings → Account → Website permissions → Zaleo Post → Remove.
- Google and YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions → Zaleo Post → Delete all connections.
- TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services → Zaleo Post → Remove access.
- X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → Zaleo Post → Revoke app permissions.
- LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Other applications → Permitted services → Zaleo Post → Remove.
- Telegram: remove @zaleo_post_bot from your channel’s administrators.
Accounts connected before we switched to our own developer apps may appear there as Composio, the provider we used until then: remove it the same way.
Once access is removed, the stored tokens stop working and we can no longer publish or read anything. To also erase what we already stored (account name, post links and statistics), disconnect the account in the app or email us.
What happens to the data
From a connected social account we keep only what publishing needs: the account or Page name, ID and picture, the access tokens, the posts you scheduled with their links, and their statistics (views, likes, comments, shares, followers). We never read private messages.
- Access tokens are deleted as soon as you disconnect the account. They are never shown to the app or to you, and they are never sold or shared.
- Your posts and statistics are deleted with your app data, from the app or on request. Posts already published stay on the network: delete them there if you want them gone.
- Copies in backups are not restored after a deletion and disappear as the backups rotate out.
- We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices for paid plans, and nothing else.
